<body-html>
CARE

Our Shirts
Depending on your specific fit, we suggest you either “dry-clean only” or wash in cold water and hang to dry. The caveat for washing is that our shirts will shrink up to about a 1/2 inch in the collar and sleeves. If you dry-clean it, the shirt will stay the same. Our shirts are cut with the assumption that you will wash and hang dry, therefore we’ve compensated for the shrinkage factor by adding an extra allowance.

Please note that all dry-cleaners are not created equally. Some will ruin your garments by treating them roughly and by pressing them with a very high heat. This will burn the fibers and unfavorably alter the appearance of your garment. Please make sure you choose your dry-cleaner with caution and get some second opinions from sartorial minded friends.

Suits, Jackets, Pants
We recommend you get your garment dry cleaned as infrequently as possible. In fact, once a year is more than enough. If you have spilled something on your garment, then we recommend that you have it spot cleaned. The reason is that high quality wools, like the one you have purchased from our store, do not absorb scent; and if you have it dry cleaned, you run the risk of altering the already perfect appearance. BUT if you must dry clean, then we suggest Meurice at 31 University Place in New York.

Sweaters and Wool Overshirts
If you’ve ever washed wool before, you will immediately know by trial that it was not a good idea. If washed, wool will shrink drastically and will never return to its orginal state if washed. That said, it is difficult to match the natural performance characteristics of wool. It’s warm, breathes, has thermal control, comfortable, odor resistant etc… Please remember to DRY-CLEAN ONLY all of our Sweaters, Overshirts and any other wool products.
