Recently we discovered this perfect short riding boot from a small shoe-maker in Portugal. These are true bench-made with Goodyear welting for a seriously investment grade classic boot.
What makes the boot unique is the last, which is simply exactly right for this style. It is elegant in an old-school European way with a certain combination of sleekness without angularity. The fit is extremely comfortable with a slightly wide last and somewhat high vamp area.
They truly get better with time, and are very easy for a good local cobbler to re-sole when necessary.
For our boots the sizing is US, and are quite true to size (don’t confuse the sizes with our Alfred Sargent UK sizing). We do allow exchanges for size differences as long as the shoes are not worn.
